Its been a long time since I wrote in the old journal so I decided it was time to update any one who cares to read what is going on in my swinging batchelor life, any one who knows me well would be laughing hard by now, seriously. So the big news is my youngest son is getting married this July. Yes before any one asks I did try to talk him out of it but his mind is made up. He has been living with his wife to be for over two years and being the good christian that he is, they have decided that it might be in the best interest of their eternal souls to get married, go figure. Being pentacostal he is convinced that the world is about to end and he wants to be prepared to meet his maker. Now I know it sounds like I am making fun of this but his grandmother on his mother's side is bi-pentacostal and according to her the world was supposed to end back in 1984. So we have all been living on borrowed time for about 25 years according to her.
So my son's mother has been very generous with the money that I have been forced to give and is paying for a large chunk of the wedding. She calls me up and asks if I am going to be friendly at the wedding and if we can take photos with the bride and groom. Now this is a bit of a tender subject with me as when she split she took almost all the photos except for the ones on the walls. As you may or may not recall she thought I was going to have a weenie roast one night and burn all the photos but fortunately their was only one nut job in our relationship and she moved out. I do plan on not causing any issues at the wedding for my son's sake and after all it is their day and I don't want to ruin it. That said there is no way I am standing with that bitch and smiling into a camera while I still have to go to court again because her lazy ass still after 2 years hasn't found a job.
OK I am done venting, as you may or may not know I have been seeing someone special and we are going to see each other in a few weeks. I am not going to say who she is but her DS initials are A.I.U. We are doing very well and I think I can speak for both of us when I say that we are very happy to have found each other.

Congratulations to your son. Marriage does not alway end badly, silly man. There is always room for hope - especially when it involves our children. While the religious aspect may sound whacko to some, it is his choice. It sounds like if is willing to talk the talk, he will follow through and walk the walk - a reason to be proud.
As for the ex...well you summed it up. I know how you feel about her and rightfully so. I don't have anything constructive here. sorry. :)
Happy for you and A.I.U. - it's cause of those lips huh? I know how you are a sucker for luscious red lips! lol (no pun intended...or maybe there is! haha). I am just glad that you have found happiness in your life. You both deserve it so much. Peace and blessings from me.

Glad to hear all is well. Dating huh? That is awesome. I see so many of us have found love again in our lives post divorce. I am amazed because I never thought I could smile so much as I have over the last few years.
I am a Christian and don't know about living on borrowed time but life is short anyway, there is no reason not to live it and live it the best we can.
I am happy for your son and hope the wedding is nice. I hope you plan to bring a date to that wedding to ensure you have a good time and a dance partner!
