I am a middle school teacher and I really enjoy my profession. My husband and I have been on our fertility journey for almost 3 years. If anything, this experience has brought us closer than I ever thought possible. We were blessed with our daughter, Avery, on March 11, 2009.

Close Infertility
My husband and I have been ttc for almost 3 years. We have unexplained infertility. We were blessed to get pg naturally in December 2006, but I had a m/c shortly after. We got pg again in October of 2007, through IVF, but we m/c again. Our 2nd attempt with IVF worked, but we m/c at 11 weeks 5/11/08. On 6/29/08 we did a 3rd attempt at IVF and we're pregnant! 27 weeks and counting...its a girl! We are looking forward to starting our family.
Treatments
- Artificial Insemination Not Working
- We did 3 cycles of IUI w/Clomid, none of these cycles worked.
- Clomid Somewhat Helpful
- I took Clomid w/ IUI for 3 cycles, none of which worked for us. I did produce more eggs, though.
- Follistim Working / Worked
- We used this w/IVF treatments all 3 times.On the last IVF cycle, I also took Ganirelix injections.
- In Vitro Fertilization Working / Worked
- Our first cycle of IVF worked (10/07), unfortunately, we had a m/c. Our second cycle of IVF worked 3/2008 IVF w/FET. M/C on 5/11/08. 3rd IVF on 6/29, we're pregnant and still going strong!
- Love Working / Worked
- Thank God I am married to such a wonderful man.
- Progesterone Working / Worked
- Took Progesterone injections with each IVF cycle.
Close Pregnancy After Loss/Infertility
11/07 We became pg through the help of IVF, Unfortunatly, we just found out that we m/c again. I have had 1 m/c prior to this. 3/08 We're pregnant again! I hope and pray that this is our time! Third m/c at 11 weeks 5/11/08.3rd IVF on 6/29/08, we're pregnant!
Open Miscarriage
11/07 We just found out that we m/c again. We've had 2 m/c in as many years. Trying to have hope for the future. Third m/c at 11 weeks 5/11/08. I am devastated.
Treatments
- D&C Working / Worked
- 11/07 Needed to have a D&C b/c the cytotec didn't work. My Dr. said that everything went well and I feel ok.
Open Parenting Newborns & Infants (0-1)
We just had our first child, a daughter, after TTC for almost 4 years.
