Hug
thanks for your support I am very lucky in one way my husband is very supportive but finds it very hard seeing me so upset by sons actions and him having to stand back and take it all in when he really wants to give him a clip round the ear lol
Hug
I always enjoy your posts!
Thanks
Your advice to me about replacing our grand's puppy was something I really thought about. It got me thinking about when we had to say goodbye to our first fosterchild after only having him 8 weeks I was so attached and sad that I told the soscial worker I couldn't do it again. She said I needed to do it one more time or I wouldn't get over it. Well, we ended up doing it 5 more times and then adopted another baby.) Anyway, getting another dog wasn't what pop pop wanted to do so I gave it to God on Friday morning with all my heart and decided to trust God to do what was best for her. Friday night pop pop came home with the cutest little black puppy. So glad to see her smiling again. Thanks

Close Grandparents Raising Children
Raised three children of my own, was divorced after 30 years of marriage and now have my 1 1/2 yo grandson for a year or so, possibly longer. Have a teenage daughter at home who is having a hard time with the adjustment. Just got notified that JJ might be placed back with his father as early as Thanksgiving.
Close Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI have chronic asthma, diagnosed over 10 years ago. Allergy caused.
Treatments
Open Celiac Disease
Gluten, lactose, egg yolk and msg intolerances. Sure could use suggestions on foods that don't cost an arm and a leg to buy!
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- Obviously, works like a charm, but hidden sources a real problem!
- Dairy-Free Diet Working / Worked
- A must have for me, but again, hidden sources a great problem
- Gluten Free Diet Working / Worked
- ONly eat rice, buckwheat, small amounts of corn, and potato. I can eat very small amounts of oat on occasion, too. NO WHEAT
Open Food Allergies
Type of allergy: Other FoodsFood allergies/sensitivities to gluten/dairy/egg/msg. Became intolerable after a bout with an intestinal bacteria infection. Suffered a long time until I finally figured out what it was, no thanks to doctors.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- Elimination diet from a dietary consultant finally helped me diagnose my problem and for the first time in years I began to be able to live again!
Open Personality Disorders
Type: Narcissistic Personality Disorder30 year wife of husband NPD. Trying to understand and recover. Wanting to make the right choices and decisions for myself and my grandson of whom I have custody. Have many battles and don't want to make the same mistakes.
Treatments
- Talking Working / Worked
- I have known noone until very recently even to talk to. When someone does believe what my family has been through, it is just such a relief! But now I need sound advice to deal with the ongoing effects of these people in my life, my ex and my son.
Open Parents of Children with ADHD
My ds, now 23 has ADHD, and my gs, who I am raising is showing the symptoms of it as well.
Open Pancreatitis
I have recently been led to suspect that rather than IBS my problem is chronic pancreatitis.
Open Homeschooling
I began homeschooling in 1987. I homeschooled my oldest two through high school and my youngest entered a public high school in her Sophomore year. I am now starting over again with my 3yo grandson and hope to be able to homeschool him, at least for several years. God willing. Both my gs and his father (ds) have ADHD.
