About Me
i have been married for 39 years. i have 1 son and a daughter-in-law, and also 2 beautiful grandsons.we have just moved into a 55 and over community, which we love. have met many wonderful people. i was working when i was diagnosed with breast cancer. i have had 4 surgeries in the past one and a half years. just recently i developed lymphedema. i would like to go back to work. have applied and think i have the job so at least i will be able to get things for my new home.

hi cmr, I had a double mastectomy and went thru the frozen shoulder ordeal too. Know how you feel. This is a great place to be. Alot of love and support. Anytime you want to talk, let me know, I will always be here for you.

Close Breast Cancer
diagnosed in aug. 2005. had a mastectomy 9-21-2005. hormone receptor positive. one node involvement. chose to do only tamoxifen and no chemo. feb 2006 i started breast reconstruction with tissue expander. frozen shoulder treated in june 2006. then in september 2006 under went exchange surgery. completed reconstruction pross in january 2007. in febuary i developed lymphedema. having it treated and seems to be in control.
Treatments
- Nolvadex Working / Worked
- tamoxifen has caused severe hot flashes. that being treated with 1200mgs a day of gabapentin. joint stiffness and ocassional leg cramps.
