My wife and I have been married for 4 years and through invetro, we have new born twins at home. I need someone to …
I didn't get much of a chance to ask any questions at my appointment since he was running way behind and just kind of rushed me in and out. He is away this coming week so I will be seeing a different Dr. this week. I figured out that I'm more grouchy and miserable when my feet are hurting. They felt better by Tuesday but they still feel a bit swollen from time to time, just like my hands. This week has been pretty slow going, especially since Stephen has been tied up with work and his promotion that he got a few weeks ago. So he was late home on Wednesday and then on Thursday he had a business trip to Ottawa where he flew there and home in the same day. On his way back his plane was severly delayed and he didn't get home until after I went to sleep. Yesterday he was home at the regular time though. I just felt like I was alone for 3 days. It was really getting to me. Then last night I was up most of the night trying to get comfortable. I couldn't sleep a wink. Its hard to sleep when your back, hips and shoulders hurt so much. I don't mean to complain but everyone is tired of me talking about it and thats all I can think about. I did manage to fall asleep when Stephen got up. He came up an hour later and surprised me with breakfast in bed. I may not see much of him but he can still be really sweet.
An interesting thing did happen this week. My MIL bought us some more diapers (we are going to use cloth which can be expensive when you first buy them). We've had a bunch of packages of them on our registry. She's always buying stuff for us and the baby and sometimes we offer to pay her back for them and sometimes not. Well this time she went and bought a bunch of diapers off our registry and then gave them to me. Then she handed me the reciept and said you can pay me back later. Who buys something off of a gift registry and then asks for reimberusment?!?!? We didn't ask her to buy anything for us she just went and did it and then expected us to pay for it. Since we are down to one income we are trying to be more careful with our spending habbits and this is not something we had planned on spending this month. Sure its not going to break us this month but this cannot continue. I don't really want to confront her about it so I talked Stephen into it. Its his mom anyway and I think she will listen better if it comes from him. They are coming over and he will probably tell her today. Its time she stop butting in and let us run our own lives. She does stuff like this all the time but this is the first time she has involved money. My DH is 31 and he's not a child anymore. We are going to have a child of our own and she needs to step back and let us do it. I hope this will let her know that so that way we won't have to revisit this down the road when she's telling us how to parent our own child. Anyone else have nosy in-laws like that? I gotta go now, we are going grocery shopping.

Im MIL doesnt buy stuff then ask for us to pay her back, BUT she'll give us stuff then 5 years later want it back. It drives me crazy. I told my husband to go through the house and if anything in it was hers give it back to her cause I dont want it in there. We had this baby gate that we used to keep our animals out of the computer room (remind you my husband has it since I meet him 4 years ago) she was like oh I need that gate back. I was like WHAT shes like I let Dennie use it and I need it back. I was like you've got to be kiding. Its just crazy. Good luck with your MIL. Hugs Monica.
