Yeah, I got a little freaked out about my weight but I'm trying to not let it bother me. I got some advice from some friends and my mom and there could be tons of reasons why I'm so heavy. It could be alot of fluid or a big baby or both. I'll have to wait and see what happens in the 6 wks after the baby is born. According to everyone I look like I've only gained baby. I'll do my best to not worry about it.

This weekend put things more into perspective for me. On Friday, I started to have contractions (I didn't know what they were at the time) I laid down and they went away. It kind of worried me so I stayed off my feet all day until it was time to make dinner. Then I started to get them again so my DH finished dinner and I went to lay down again. It took about an hour for them to come down. We weren't sure if we should go to the hospital or not. We ended up not going since I started to feel better. On Saturday we had our second session of our prenatal class and I mentioned it to our teacher/nurse/midwife and she said that they were contractions that I was feeling and said I should have gone to the hospital. I felt somemore contractions near the end of class so when class was over we did go to the hospital to get checked out. By the time they got me hooked up to the monitors they were pretty much gone again. They did a few other tests and the Dr. on call came in to check me. She felt the baby and said he was head down. She also made a funny comment that makes me think even more that Alexander will be a big baby. She said "You've done a really good job growing this baby!" She also checked my cervix and I"m not dialated at all which is good because I'm only at 33 wks. It turns out that I have a slight infection that is causing my uterus to contract so now I'm on antibiotics. I figured it was nothing. I wasn't really that worried at all. Now I know what contractions feel like and can get a better idea of what I'm in for. I still have contractions from time to time but they are getting less frequent and less intense (like maybe 1 aday if that). So anyway, that was our eventful weekend.
