Hello from Salmon Arm BC! Its about 2-3 hours north of the US border (Over Washington State) This has been a long trip already. I'm ready to go home. I miss my dog (and I hope my MIL isn't spoiling him and over feeding him) We will be arriving in Seattle Tonight and going to a Mariner's game for my DH's birthday (which is actually tomorrow but tomorrow we have wedding stuff to do and the wedding is on Sunday). I've seen some really amazing sites on the way here though. Northern Ontario is -yes big and desolate- but also very beautiful. The praries (or plains as Americans would call it) we also very breathtaking, especially with the skies and clouds. We stopped in Edmonton to visit Stephen's sister and her husband. We went to the West Edmonton mall which is the largest shopping mall in north america (yes, bigger than the mall of America!) If I wasn't pregnant I would have been on the waterslides in a second! I want to go back and do the waterpark and the amusment park, not to mention shop till I drop! Shopping with 2 guys while 6 1/2 pregnant - not so fun. We found a mexican restaruant and had lunch there (I've been dying for mexican food ever since we left TX almost 2 yrs ago) It wasn't like it was back in TX but it was a good attempt. They didn't have tamales - my favorite mexican dish. Stephen's sister knitted some stuffed animals for Alexander and got a book about each one.. so there is a turtle story (the Tortise and the Hare) a snail story (the Snail and the Buffalo) and a penguin story (Lost and Found). I can't wait to read them to Alexander!
Yesterday we drove through the Canadian Rockies - Wow are they beautiful. I must have took close to 150-200 pictures - I love digital cameras! I must have taken at least 2 pictures of almost every peak. Near the end of that drive it started to rain so there were other pictures I wanted to take but couldn't because of the rain. Kind of hard to take a picture when your winsheild is all wet. We haven't had any time to upload pictures or anything. That will probably have to wait until I get back home. I will have plenty of time to do pictures and scrap book it and stuff. Well, gotta pack up and get back on the road!
