Wow! I can't believe its been so long since I've had a chance to get on here. With the basement reno I hate going down to the basement amist all the construction and thats where the computer is. Also this month has been fairly exciting. I've been at my part time job most of the time with labs on campus. 2 more weeks and I'm done with that. The labs are long and exhausting, especially for me since I'm carrying an extra 20 some pounds! The big even this month though was my graduation. Its officially over! I graduated on June 14th with my master's degree. My parents were supposed to come up but just my mom came because my dad got suddenly sick. I think it was just the flu so he's doing better now. At least my mom was here. It was the first time she's been to Canada so we did all sorts of things while she was here. I took her to the farmer's market thats near my house and then we made pie with what we bought. The next day my hubby and I took her to Toronto. We went to Chinatown, an international market where we found mexican ingredients! (big deal when you used to live in TX then you move up north where mexican food is non-existant. Man I would kill for a tamale right now!) Then we went to the Blue Jays game. My mom has never been to a major league baseball game before. She had alot of fun. We also took her to Niagara falls and did the Maid of the Mist where you get really close to the falls. That was really fun too.. except it started raining and hailing! It only lasted about an hour though. In the afternoon we took her wine tasting in the Niagara wine country. I knew she would enjoy that because everytime they visit my grandparents in California, they always go to Napa Valley and buy like $200 worth in wine. So my mom really enjoyed that too. Now I just need to get my dad up here. Whenever my dad comes to visit we are going to do the wine tasting again (and maybe this time I can taste some!) and we will also do beer tasting too because this region is big for microbreweries too. Other than that my mom took care of me while I got to relax on the couch. She even gave me a home pedicure! I wish she could have stayed longer. I miss her alot. She will be back up for when Alexander is born but I'm not sure when. Her job will only allow her vacation for 5 days so she will only get to stay a week. I guess thats better than not coming at all.

In about 2 weeks we will be leaving for a cross country road trip. We are driving out to Seattle for my brother's wedding so I may not be on much either. I'll try my best though.
