About Me
I am a mother of 5, trying again to get divorce final. I normally work in a SNF social services. I say just go ahead and live my life. have been diagnosised with MS, hyperparathyroidism, problems with thyroid I struggle with my weight, did I mentionn menopause, a survivor of childhood rape by a stranger as I was walking home from school. Most of all I am very strong and will not let any of this defeat me.

Interests
reading, movies, needle crafts and I hope to continue writing and to improve at it. my children my grandkids(3), passions include chocolate, wine coffee and shopping-I fancy myself as somewhat of a pro shopper, fighting the prejudices towards the mentally ill and other diseases that we often snub are noses at or judge. I have fought long and hard for my son he has battled long with epilepsy. I also love working with the elderly we need to honor all they have done.

You know what I've gotten a flu shot every year for probably six or so years and last year when I asked about it and they gave me th paper to sign there was a line on there about Having MS, etc, etc. When I asked about it my Dr. refused to give me one. Their concern is that it could cause a relapse for MS patients. Between you and me, I'd rather have a relapse than die what with the Swine flu and all. I already picked up a couple masks at the pharmacy just in case it gets bad around here. It makes me kind of nervous because I have other health problems one of which is COPD. I guess I'll get my pneumonia shot and hope for the best.

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSdoing much better now. was diagnosised during Super Bowl 2004 half time a doctor called me during half-time. So I guess you know what I missed hahaha. Then drs toyed around with dx for a couple of years, now it is the truth.

- Avonex Not Working
- The MS is now active and had 3 relapses in 6mths
- Baclofen Working / Worked
- works even though I do not know what a muscle spasm is guess that means it is working
- Copaxone Working / Worked
- did not like the shot easy to be non-compliant. No real disease progression either.
- LDN - Low Dose Naltrexone Working / Worked
- I love this but now on hold dt my budget
- Neurontin Not Working
- Side-effects too many and too hard to deal with to outweigh any benefits.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- Fantastic, love it, gives me something to look forward to.
- Solumedrol Working / Worked
- It worked just had mood swings afterwards
- Symmetrel Not Working
- Felt nothing, and this is what killed that chick on House. Stupid I know but my fatigu comes and goes.

Close Parenting Teenagers (12-18)
I am a mother of five 2girls and 3boys. My youngest lives with me she is 12, 14yo son lives with Dad as does my 19yo son. 21 yo son on his own as is 28yo dtr. These last 2 teens are trying and wonderful!
Open Goiter
I was told I have a goiter 10 years ago. I think it was there several years before that. It has continued to cause problems getting an ultrasound again in June. Was told it causes both hypo and hyper-thyroid symptoms to appear in my body.
