Yesterday 12-14-06 went to work but had to leave early as I just felt like I was gonna fall over with my heart racing. Called the heart Dr. and he upped my dosage to help with that but they told me to take more xanax and told me to call my regular Dr. as he prescribed Lexapro 10 mg which I just started taking monday of this week and hasn't kicked in yet but the low dose of xanax .05 isn't enough to calm me down, so today I'll call them bout upping or chaning to something eles that will keep me calm till Lexapo kicks in. I at least slept on and off last night woke up this morning with anxiety but took a xanax and it helped a little. I just can't wait to feel somewhat normal again.

Hello, I have been battling anxiety for 12 years and there is hope. I have only a couple symptoms left and they are mild. Your story sounds familiar to me. I also began to have anxiety when I was 21 and had my gallbladder removed and almost died after the surgery. I have worked on me over the last few years and there is hope! I know the physical symptoms are annoying but do not fear them. They are your bodies natural response to the stress and adrenalin that surge through you when you have fear and anxiety. Most anxiey sufferers Ive met are wonderful, creative people who put way too much pressure on themselves to be perfect. The key to feeling better is in your thoughts. I know its hard at first but changing your "self talk" from negative to positive will help the most to lessen the symptoms. Someday you wont need the medication if you begin to change yourself and avoid negative thoughts toward yourself and your medical situation. I would be glad to help if you have any questions. There is hope and freedom from anxiety!! I really hope you are feeling better today. Be kind to yourself during this stressful time. Your body is going through alot.
