Thank you for being there for me today. I am so manic I can't sleep and I don't even want to. I also don't want to take my medication because I am enjoying the high. I am pissed that I have to take it, and I am pissed that I have to sleep. I want to get a bottle of wine at HEB and come back and have a few glasses, and then write until my fingers turn blue. I know, it is stupid. F. I really want to go crazy. seems like I am anyway, so why not? Oh POOOOH. I'm going to bed. damn. I love you so much. You are the best friend I have ever had. A

Close Bipolar Disorder
I was misdiagnosed for several years before finally being given the right diagnosis and that was half the battle for me. The last half of my battle has been accepting my childrens' diagnoses. They are also bipolar. Well my daughter is and given the family history my son's doctor believes that he is also. My mother-in-law is bipolar, my mother is bipolar, I am bipolar. As it turns out I have a very patient, understanding husband. I'm very blessed.

- Abilify Not Working
- No longer taking this medication.
- Fish Oil Working / Worked
- My Dr. suggested this supplement as a complement to my prescription medication.
- Geodon Not Working
- No longer taking this medication.
- Group Therapy Working / Worked
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- I had success with this, but I DCed it because it messed with my short-term memory. I'm currently back on it. I just have to write everything down!
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- This has greatly changed my life. I wish they would teach this in public schools.
- SAM-e Working / Worked
- The bottle warns bipolar patients or those taking MAOIs to consult their Dr's before taking. Mine suggested its use.
- Carnitine Working / Worked
- My Dr. suggested the use of this supplement as well. It only complements my meds at the moment.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- This has been my wonder drug. It also helps my migraines!
Open Migraine Headaches
I was at a point where I was having about 3 migraines per week. They were horrible and debilitating and sent me to bed with curtains drawn and my head covered. No sound, no lights. Then there was topomax.
