Close Diets & Weight Maintenance
I've never been a small person, but in the last three years I have gained a significant amount of weight. I decided it was time to break down, and set myself on a lower calorie diet.
Close Depression
I've been mildly depressed for as long as I can remember. My parents say that I used to be a happy, skipping child and then one day I woke up with a black cloud over my head.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- I tried this method for a few months with no success. I was not comfortable sharing my inner-most thoughts and feelings with someone I was paying to listen.
Open Eating Disorders
Disordered eating. Yes. I am a compulsive overeater when under pressure or when I'm bored and alone. I'm trying to get it under control.
Open Adoption
I was adopted as an infant. It was a closed adoption, so I was unable to learn anything of my birthmom (father was out of the picture and unnamed) until I turned 21. These days I'm struggling with the debate to meet her or not.
