I was recently diagnosed with asthma. I hate it because I'm usually really active and asthma has really pretty much cut that down to almost no activity compared with what I had been able to do in the past, even with really bad allergies that I've had since as far back as I can remember. I also have PKU . I was diagnosed when I was 8 and never put on the diet until about 4 years ago... I know all the research says it's better for me to be on this"insanely restrictive " diet but truthfully I have serious doubts because in some ways I believe it has done me more harm than good

i just dont understand all of this i used to have alot of trouble with my asthma and they dr would take me in i am sorry you are having trouble with all this i hope you get better soon take care

I'm joining this group to help my roommate who has/ has had degerative disc disease. She's constantly in pain and nothing seems to help . she's overweight and her doctor won't do surgery until she's lost at least 60 lbs. I just need to get some ideas and advise on what we both can do to make this more bareable for us both.
