Well...
Since Oskar started school in 2005 it has been inreasingly obvious that something is up. I would dread the end of day comments from his teacher usually along the lines of he was misbehaving, he bit someone, he screamed when asked to come for carpet time.. etc on and on and on and on.....
Eventually I went to the Drs. My best friends son was diagnosed as having a ASD, and seeing as I had spent the previous 2 months telling her not to worry as that was something that Oskar did... Doh. That was 18 months ago. I got his diagnosis last thursday. Since then I have been kind of numb. It was strange because that was why I had gone there but to have the diagnosis so casually given was, I don't know, anti-climactic. I at least expected some dramatic music or something. All that happened was that on friday I didn't get out of bed.

I know it is tough.. but now that you have a DX, you can get him the help he needs... but I am the pragmatic sort, I tend to make plans and figure out how to fix things rather than worry about them..
