About Me
I have been married for 27 years to a wonderful man. We have 2 kids, a daughter 27 and a son 26. My daughter is working and going back to school. My son is working at Blockbuster and is going to be a paramedic. I was diagnosed with MS in 1991. I have been blind, bedfast, and in a wheelchair. It's been rough over the last 18 years but God saw us through and still does. It's not easy but we have made it work. I love God and my family with all that I am. They give me strength and a will to never give up. My hubsand, G is a security officer for our local hospital, he is also a PI and in executive protection. I was in security also but I had an exacerbation about 3 years ago and have been up and down ever since. I am unable to work right now but I am leaning on God and my family and I will get through this one too. I have MS but it doesn't have me!

I like to read the Bible & anything Spirital, hang out with my husband & kids; shooting, hunting, fishing. I hope to start writing, it's always been a dream of mine to see my work published.

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSI am 47. I have been married for 27 years. I have a daughter 27 & a son 25. I was diagnosed in 1991. when I woke up totally blind. I have been bedfast & in a wheelchair. But thanks to God & my family I am doing great now. I have MS But it doesn't have me!
Treatments
- Atenolol Working / Worked
- Blood pressure pill. I take it with another pill and it helps keep my pressure down. It was getting as high as 110/180.
- Avonex Not Working
- I was on it for a year and it was destroying my liver.
- Baclofen Working / Worked
- If take 6 a day like my doc wants I can't get out of bed,so I have tried different amounts and 3 a day seems to help. I don't have full body spasms anymore but, the pain and spasms are still in my back. I will take another one if I have been up doing too much.
- Copaxone Working / Worked
- I was without it for a week(shipping problems)I really didn't think it was making much of a difference, but, when I started taking it again, I noticed I had more energy.
- Halcion Working / Worked
- Sleeping pill. It works great and no memory loss or pill hangover the next day.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Sometimes it's the only way I can get out of bed. It really helps with the pain.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- For Restless Legs. It works real well with the Lorecet.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I really hate taking this, but when I get bad it helps
- Provigil Working / Worked
- I really think it is working. My memory is a lot better than it used to be. I'm not sure if it's helping with energy or not.
- Swimming Considering
- My doc wants me to do physical therapy but we just can't afford it. He suggested I try swimming so we are looking in the local YMCA
- Zanaflex Working / Worked
- It helps so much with the muscle spasms I get and I seem to be able to move a little easier
