I'm an elementary school music teacher, cellist, wannabe writer, cyclist, novice bodybuilder, in a 23-year relationship with a dear man Massachusetts allowed me to marry 5 years ago. We have a cat, a yard, a computer, a small ranch house with a garage that is WAY too full for a car. He' s into Reiki, thinks of himself as a Buddhindu, describes himself as a Devout Homosexual. I'm a recovering fundamentalist (no witnessing, please).

Several therapists have suggested to me that it is likely I am ADD - though I have not sought out a diagnosis. Not severe enough for medication, I don't think, but I do have organizational difficulty, bouts of hyperfocus/distractiblity... times when I can focus on everything EXCEPT the task due tomorrow. Mostly though, I'd be happy if I could learn how to eliminate the piles and piles and piles that follow me everywhere I go.
Dad is 88. Mom soon to turn 81. I live 500+ miles away. I want them to be safe AND happy; I don't know how to help them have both.
82 and 89, and if they have enough working parts between the two of them for one... they're a walking encyclopedia of all the things that can go wrong with a body and not kill you yet!
