Close Cervical Cancer
A hysterectomy and another surgery later I am (so far) Cancer free. In 4 months I go back for another pap test.
Treatments
- Hysterectomy Working / Worked
- I had the surgery and it went as well as can be expected but two days later I had another surgery to remove a blood clot that wouldn't go away. I pray they got it all.
Close Chronic Pain
Since December of '06' I have had extremely bad back pain. I was offloading a 53' work truck. It was loaded haphazardly, big stuff like TV's on top... etc. Nothing that I have gone through thus far has helped.
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working
- The Chiropractioner said it was not something he could fix, after 75 dollars paid to him.
- Flexeril Somewhat Helpful
- Worked somewhat to dull the pain but I was taken off it & given another drug Naprelan. I became allergic to this, kept getting sick even with food. Took myself off it.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- It takes the edge off the pain sometimes (sadly, not when I work).
- Morphine Working / Worked
- Fentanyl Patches
Open Menopause
I was diagnosed with Cervical cancer. I had it removed with a total hysterectomy and both overies removed. Now I hope I am cancer free. But I am now faced with being thrown full force into menopause. I can't handle the mood swings and definitely CANNOT handle the all day & all night Hot Flashes! It's driving me crazy!!!
Treatments
- Estradiol Too Soon to Tell
- I've only been on it for about a week, the doctor told me it would take about a month to see any effects.
Open Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML)
My husband has recently been diagnosed with Lukemia... and, unfortunately, it's in the final stage. His doctors hold no hope of life after 6 months, they told him from 4 to 6 months. He also has Bone Cancer.........

- Bone Marrow Transplant Considering
- I'm not sure what all he is on, he left for Pa a few days ago... but I do know he is a candidate for bone marrow transplant.

My husband has recently been diagnosed with both Lukemia and Bone Cancer... after more than two years living in pain, going from doctor to doctor, no one in Pa could figure out what was wrong with him... he only just found out a couple months ago from a doctor down here in Fla.
