Cool  MY PLANS-----HIS (GOD'S) PLANS Cool

My Plan: Had a hard, long (as usual) day at work yesterday (Thurs.) Wa coming home milling my way thru traffic. Trying to get home. Wanted/Needed to lie down and rest. Was in a bad mood. Been grouchy this past week. Talking to Hubby on the cell, telling him I was tired and just wanted to go home. Was going to have to miss the monthly Firemans Association/Auxilliary metting. It started around 7pm. He was sweet & said, "don't worry about it, I'll be there & take care of it". (Well, he is the hunky fire Chief you know.)

Sounded good to me. So I'm driving onto the road, that leads to the road, to the road where I live.(got that?) About 5:30 at this point. I go across the bridge & see the car in front of me slowing down, looking at something in the road.

Here comes bee-bopping down the middle of the road, a skipping Puppy. Car in front has already passed him, & I've slowed down to a stop & opened my car door. Mind you, there is on-coming traffic. He comes up to me, scared & shaking, & I pick him up by the scruff of the neck & in he lays right on my lap.

He is too cute! Looks like a golden retriever sort of. Blonde, fluffy, soft. About 10 weeks old. Big brown eyes & floppy ears.

I pull over to a parking lot and think what the heck am I going to do with a puppy. Molly & Sadie may not like him invading their territory. It's funny because Sadie is Molly's dog. Molly is quite domineering/protective over Sadie.Quiet frankly, my dog's are  Gay. They have a "relationship".

Call hubby & he tells me to bring pup up to Fire Station. Yeah, there goes my going home. Take him there & start looking for him a family. (No collar or tags on). Everyone liked him.

Pup ended up making about 30 new friends last night. Plus ate grilled chicken, hush puppies, peach cobbler, a whole bowl of water, and of course, a MilkBone. He was quite happy by this time. We kept giving him different names. Sparky, Tanker, Mac, Bobby, Dog, Hoser, Rhodie.

Thankfully one of the female Paramedics (Amber) decided she wanted pup for her 2 1/2 yr, old son. He will be an inside dog. Seems they are having some coyote problems up where they live. Has a big yard for him to run around in. Rhodie loved Amber. He would get between her feet & put his chin on her boot. It was a match!

God's Plan:

Had me take a little detour before I went home. He actually brightened up my day. Because of  finding the puppy, I ended up: A)Going to the fire dept., seeing a lot of good people I haven't see in a while. B) Going to the Assoc. meeting. C) Selling six of the choc./ peanut butter Easter eggs. (Our church makes them every year. Were making a thousand this weekend.) D) Making a new friend. & "E") is for Everything else that happened for a reason that I've forgotten about or missed. (Fibro fog you know).!

Thank You Lord for making me Whole, Thank You Lord for Saving My Soul.

I am always amazed and thankful that when I am in such a bad mood and things just aren't going right that somehow God always puts someone or something in my path that brightens my day or at the very least reminds me to be grateful for the things that ARE going well.
So glad he gave you the opportunity to brighten up your day and evening.
