It is Said Mood
Sunday, August 31, 2008 | A Poem/Artistic story
It is said
Seek and you will find
If you look for something
With an open heart
You will find it

I sought the meaning of life
I was led to Ontario
I sought love
I was led to my husband and daughters
I sought knowledge
I was led to Witches Voice
I sought friendship
It was offered open handedly
I sought Love and Light
I found the Goddess
Waiting with open arms

I have found a Love
I never knew existed

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why do I talk about a Goddess rather than a god?
A mother is more enduring than a man - from what I have seen - and besides look at your history - how many people have been killed because they don't believe what the churches push? One story that makes me think this god everyone talks about is a cruel person and loves to see one in pain is the story of Job - now tell me is that the love of god - NO
The man that raised me said "God told me to beat you" - what ever in the world did I do at 13 that required a daily beating?
Did his god tell him to rape 4 inocent girls? Probably did so that he could call us all sluts and worse.
there now I have had my say
    Thank you for sharing.....it s a lovely poem......
    the way i see it...our Goddess is for and about women....the God men talk about is the one that they use when they want to pass blame from themselves.luv and hugs...Shelley
    Well written as ussual!
    Shell is right! Men use the word God to deflect their own shortcomings.
    Hey, thnks for sharingur history why you would be completly disgusted with christianity, what you experieced was from sick warped individuals, that have nothing to do with a living loving God... I didn't feel the love of God for a very long time only judgement and condemnation, because I had no idea what love was...my children really intoduced me to that concept of unconditional love... What we see patterned in our early years is how we think the world works. So with rejection from our birth parents, from abuse of our adoptive parents, which than just perpetuates more abusive relationships from friends to spouses until we cannot take more, until we hit the rock bottom... but still none of that is God, he came to redeem us from ourselves!!!!!! I'm sorry I just needed to share that I do understand, but I most definitly disagree with your opinion of God, he isn't cruel or sick WE PEOPLE ARE!
    I too think along the same lines as you concerning god...........never was there for a begging praying baby/child.
    Thank you, this journal has helped me tonight.
