   Well, it is almost 2008. I have great expectations that this year will be better than the last. The last time we went to the doctor with Jacob he said he thinks Jacob has a brain injury due to all the head banging he used to do as a baby and small child. More great news.... Just what I needed to hear. He said he thinks this is why the meds dont help Jacobs behavior. It just never seems to end....

  And on Christmas my mother got on Jacob about the way he was acting because he didnt want to eat he wanted to play with his new toys and he  was , as we all know with AS kids,  fixated on them and she just kept yelling at him and making comments and making me more embarrased and upset because we had other people there and it was just drawing more attention to him. Needless to say she caught on that I was pissed off with her because she asked me about it the next day and we had a small chat about it but nothing really resolved. But I guess that is life, I dont expect everyone to understand or agree, just support me. Oh well, enough of that, a new year is about to begin................

  Today is my birthday and I am 37 years old. I dont feel 37 but it  is getting a little scary ,its very close to 40.  I will spend today working and tonight with the family eating chinese food and ringing in the new year with carrot cake and a little sip of champagne.( only a sip, still nursing a baby)My mom makes the best carrot cake...YUMMY

  I hope everyone on this site has a great, safe, happy, and healthy New Year. The support I have recieved and the friends I have made on this site have been so wonderful and helpful this past year and I thank you all.

   A special thank you to Cat, who I have met on here and keep in touch with regularly, she has been a great friend and very supportive.

   Well, I have to get going but I just wanted to touch base with you all and wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!
