This has been a rough day.  Last night I noticed our beloved little rat terrier had a big bump on the bottom of his chin.  Of course I became concerned.  We took him to animal hospital (not his regular vet, but they were very comprehensive).  They did some x-rays. Best case, he has a bone infection. Worst case, bone cancer (but vet said that is unlikely).  The other option is a disease called craniomandibular ostepathy.  His jaw bone could over grow and potentially cause him to not be able to open his mouth.  I just love this little man so much.  I don't know what I would do if we lost him.

I am physically and emotionally exhausted and I want to eat every thing that is high fat and high sugar for comfort.  Just a bad day all around.
