Hello...I am a 38yr old female who has been suffering with chronic pain 24/7/365 for almost 10 yrs. now...I am married to my very best friend,& was a CNA when I slipped in some water at work & ruptured 2 discs...I have gone severely down-hill since then...I have had a major back surgery 15 "procedures", & am looking at my 2nd major surgery within 3 months...I try to be as happy as I can, considering the situation...God Bless You All!
Treatments
- Cymbalta Not Working
- I took Cymabalta for a short time...My doc took me off after about 3 months...It made me gain weight though!! I hated that part!!It just didn't work for me...
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- I took Vicodin ES for a VERY long time...It was good while it lasted, but like everything else, I developed a tolerence & had to move on to bigger & better things...
- Lyrica Not Working
- This was alot like Cymabalta for me...Gained about 15 pounds, but didn't really see any relief...Went on to Xanaflex!!GREAT STUFF!!
- Methadone Working / Worked
- I have been on Methadoe now for about a year or so...It's one of the best that I have tried so far...I take 200mgs a day, & know I am gonna have to go higher soon...
- Oxycodone Somewhat Helpful
- I really like Percocet, but it doesn't like me...It's by far one of the best pain-killers I have ever tried, but it gives me insomnia BAD!!No thanks...I can't sleep as-is
- Fentanyl Working / Worked
- I absolutely LOVE this drug...I use it in he lollipop form of Actiq. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs break-thru meds...
- Morphine Working / Worked
- I absolutely LOVE this drug...It's extended release Morphine for thos of you who weren't aware. It combined with my Actiq~ WINNER~WINNER~WINNER!!=)
- Zanaflex Working / Worked
- I take this at bedtime for muscle spasms & to help me sleep without my legs jerking all over the place...I really like it...I take 12mgs at bedtime...

Open Back Pain
Hello...I am a 38yr old woman trapped in a 98yr olds body! At least that's what my back feels like! I have been suffering greatly with low-back pain for almost 20yrs now in some way shape or form...It started with being physically abused by my 1st husband & the asshole after him who liked to burn me with cigarettes too...But that a whole other talk show!=) I am in pain 24/7/365 & live on morphine & Actiq(fentanyl), & have had to quit working & driving...I will tell ya'll alot more about me!!
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working
- Actually, the chiro told me they wouldn't /couldn't touch me with a 10ft pole...LAWSUIT if they did!!
- Darvon Somewhat Helpful
- It was ok for what it was, but I needed something MUCH stronger!!
- Epidural Injection Not Working
- I was in more pain that I was before I got them!!I HATE them, & yet my Dr. & Work Comp carrier is INSISTING that I have more!!!!
- Fentanyl Working / Worked
- I LOVE this drug...I take it in the form of the Actiq sucker...Blueberry flavoring, confectioners sugar & 1600mcgs of Fentanyl!!
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- It worked when I was on it, but as with every other drug, I developed a tolerance to it...I was taking up to 15 Vicodin ES for almost a year!!
- Ibuprofen Not Working
- This was a JOKE for me on ALL levels!! Now, if someone were to take this with Vicodin it MIGHT help extend the amount of time that it works...Thats about it though...
- Physical Therapy Not Working
- I TRIED!! Not just once, but several times...All it did was irritate my injury, & prolong the inevitable...MORE PAIN!!!=(
- Zanaflex Working / Worked
- I really like this drug...It is like a muscle relaxer, & sleep aid in one!! I take 2 @ bedtime, & 6-10 times im able to sleep...PRAISE GOD!!!
