ok after spending the afternoon trying to identify the punch bowl i think i have found the answer on this great interweb. i believe that it was made in 1922 and it the by indiana glass and it is the whirling star pattern and from i can find it is rare. i will type up the history of how my mom got it from her grandma and that it was a gift from her mom to her grandma so renee has all the info someday when it is hers.
i have calm down a little bit about receiving it. if she would have given some advance notice that she was even thinking about giving it away then i would have been more prepared.

Urrrrrrgh i have to come here and vent so certain people on facebook can't find it.
i guess because the eldest drug addicted so called drug free now brother is going to mom's again and it has us all frustrated. he has only been there twice and tomorrow makes third visit and all of a sudden she says in one breathe that she can't clean her dishes any more and in another she doesn't want his wife to get any ideas about them. so now i have to bring home my great grandmothers punch bowl that my mom has had since she was 12 and she will be 75 next week. my grandmother was married in november and purchased it for my great grandmother for the first christmas. my aunt would have ben 82 in february so this dish is approx 83 years old or older. mom is not sure how long her parents were married before aunt ruth came along but she knows that it was longer than just a few months. it has been in the same china cabinet in the same spot ever since i could remember and i will be 48 next month now i have put it in my china cabinet. i always knew it would be there some day. but never expected it be here before mom was gone.
in a more pleasant note, my angels were thinking of me really alot today. i have found 7 pennies today only. i guess they know that i need them.
made it thru last weekend really well. being that i made my self to tired to think. did the 1300 round trip to atlanta in 28.5 hours. just me and gracie dog. sent lee to grand rapids and him and renee to nashville. i was able to keep everyone busy.
later all

Hang in there . hugs....
