My name is Jan, gramma to Gavin born 5/1/06 passed away on 10/3/06 from complications of SMA. SMA is spinal muscular atropy, it is a gentic disorder with no cure. both parents have to be a carrier for the mutant gene and then there is a 25% chance that the mutant gene will be passed to the child. the mutant gene effects the body's ability to produce the protein in the spinal fluid necessary for muscle growth. I lost my Dad in April of 2002 also.
my husband and daughter both have seizures. hubby for 30+ years, renee for 8+ years.

i am 45 years old and my eye doctor has been watching my eyes real close for about 3 years now. my eye pressure is at 21.
i am 45 years old and about a year ago started having hot flashes.
my mom who is 73 was just told that she has lung cancer. it is in the left lung behind the heart, near the aorta. they will do surgery on her on june 23. because of the location this is the only way to do the biopsy.
