I've been feeling pretty good (most of the pain is gone) but the urinary frequency is driving me crazy. I awake at least 3 times (can be every hour) …

good morning! I read your artical and others on finding a cure for IC. ive had it now for about 11yrs, and I kind of stopped reading info on it because it seemed like it was leading me to a dead end and the news i got was depressing!! thanks for the info, it helped alot to know that there is light at the end of th tunnel!!! Laurie

Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
After 3 years of urinary frequency and pain, I was finally diagnosed with Ulcerative IC in January 2007. The Cystoscopy which was used to diagnose IC caused a bladder perforation which required the use of an indwelling catheter for 2 weeks, allowing my bladder to heal. My pain is for the most part nonexistent at this point but the urinary frequency seems to be getting worse.
Treatments
- Elmiron Too Soon to Tell
- I've been taking Elmiron since January 25, 2007. It's only been 3 months and I've been told that it usually takes 6-8 months to see any real improvement.
