Turning Back to Daily Strength Mood
Thursday, October 15, 2009 | A General Update story
I have not been on Daily Strength for a really long time.  Things have been going well and are busy. Work has changed somewhat.  Instead of teaching 5th grade, I am teaching social studies grade 5-8 and computers grades 1-8.  It is interesting to see the full range of students at the school.  My stepchildren ( I should say teens) are living with us still and things have greatly improved.  My stepdaughter graduated from high school this past June and is now going to college.  My stepson is a sophmore who is now having a little trouble with grades but we are working on that.  I think part of it is that his sister is not living at home and his security growing up has always been her.  Anyway I hope everyone is doing well and I have missed talking to you all.  Hope to hear from all of you soon.

A horrible weekend Mood
Monday, October 20, 2008 | A Sad story

I have not been on in a while but I have been trying to keep up with everyone as they are writing their journals.  I hope that everyone is doing well and I am sorry for not staying in touch.

This past weekend started out really nice.  I went to a jelwery party on Friday night and they we had a wedding to goto on Saturday.  The wedding was beautiful and it was great to see people I have not seen in a while.  Well when we got home on Saturday night someone had broken into our house and buglarized it.  Everything they took can be replaced except for my sense of security.  I keep saying to myself I have to be thankful that nobody was home except the dog and he was not hurt.  Today I am in the process of making lots of phone calls to try and get things straightened out so that we can get the ball rolling on replacing some of the stuff.  I am also going to be checking out security system companies because I will not feel secure until on is in my house.  We changed locks on doors already and put a big flood light out back.  Aside from that it does not help my emotions.  I have been having melt downs every so often because this has happened.

Anyway thanks for listening and I hope that you guys have a good day and week.  I am hoping that things go up from here.

I cannot imagine how horrible this has been for you.
I have not had any burgleries, but our neighborhood has. I did get floodlights installed and I recently chose a security company. I think you will feel better when you have a security system.
Good luck to you and I hope things settle down for you soon.

What a hard week Mood
Friday, August 8, 2008 | A Frustrating story

This past week and a half has not been the best.  We had to take our dog for his yearly check up to the vet last week.  They did the normal stuff and through one of the tests found a trace of lymes disease.  They started him on antibotic.  Well since that point he has been sick.  We came home Friday to him having thrown up all over one room and then when we took him out for a walk having diarea.  We took him off the meds and on Sunday had him at the animal hospital because he threw up blood.  They gave him somthing to keep him from throwing up and gave him fluids under his skin.  They think since he was throwing up so much he popped a vessel...they were not concerned.  Well since then we have had our good days and bad days.  After a week he is still fighting diarrea.  We went to the vet on Wedensday and he had to get a blood screening and they put  him on something to help that and then an antibotic in case he has an infection in his intestines and an antibotic for the lymes so that does not get worse.

HE WAS FINE BEFORE I TOOK HIM TO THE VETS.  YES THIS IS WHERE I START BLAMING MYSELF.  I know he needed the yearly check-up but if we would not have gone then he would not have caught whatever he caught.   Now it is sit and wait for the test results

You know you did the right thing. I doubt that he caught it at the vet. You will have to check him daily for ticks. He's just sensitive to antibiotics. Ask your vet about charcol to settle the stomach. Or acidophillis (it's in yogurt) Natural stuff that might sooth. You could also ask about giving him a small amount of Pepto Bismol. Be positive and know he'll be okay.
    Love and hugs.
