work places seem to test other's respect for themselves, their inconsiderate ways usually have nothing to do with the other person.

I know what you feel.. things like that get to me too, but don't let it get the best of you okay. It's not your fault others don't respect you as you should be respected. As my sister always tells me " what other people think of you is none of my business"...They will win if you let them ...As I always do in a hostile environment "kill them with kindness" ..it works everytime and it will make you feel better. Try it.
