I have manually looked through three thousand, three hundred and eighty three photos that are not counting the ones I didn’t look through, the news articles, death notices, Christmas, anniversary and birthday cards, wedding invites and the like. I am sick of looking at my family, just in time for the holidays!  Oh well, every one is coming for Christmas this year and I get to give them ALL away! Hurray! Anyhow I’m done with them.

 Last Friday, the 19th, we got rain like there was no tomorrow, it flooded the parking lot. I think it rained for like 26 hours straight or something like that. That morning I got home, and found out that tons of people were without power. In many places the rain caused ice on the trees and the trees broke taking out houses, power lines, cars, and roads.  I think the count was over 200, 000, homes were with out power.

The power company has pretty much taken over the town all week, putting power back on; many people still don’t have power. My aunt was out for about 5 days, my folks got lucky with only 3. There are no more generators for 10’s of miles around here. Every hotel in the surrounding 2 counties have been sold out, cause people have to have heat and running water. My house got lucky, well actually my whole town was missed.Every town around us lost power, but some how missed us.

 We have power company people from literally all over the country. Florida to Maine, to Colorado to California, Montana, Kansas, and so on. The guys are funny though, drink all night long, get up at 4 am, and work all day. In the past 3 days I’ve been hit on more than I have in my whole life. Oh well.  

It snowed like 8 inches on Saturday, which by my standards is pretty dammed cool! But no one else likes it one bit. Snow! Snow! Snow! To bad it’s light and fluffy stuff, not that nice thick, wet, heavy snow that you can build with. Well winter’s just started so maybe we’ll get some good snow. I know what your thinking, isn’t 8 inches good? But no way man, its useless, airy stuff that doesn’t make snow balls or anything.  Maybe for my birthday? IDK we’ll see! 

The best part about Christmas time is that I can sing jingle bells with out looking like a nut case! I’, mean seriously why are all those happy Christmas songs only for Christmas? It’s like only singing happy birthday on the person’s birthday! What’s up with that? J Any how, the best part about Christmas? The day after, cause then the radio stations plays music again. Though Christmas does seem to bring out the best and worst of people.
