We have finally moved. I just got my computer back online tonite. This past August, we had talked about staying at our old house thru to the spring because we thought it would be too difficult to come up with the money to make a move so soon after our wedding. But at the beginning of October, we had a cold spell for about a week which reminded me how cold it had been last winter. I told James I just couldn't make it thru another winter in that house so we gave a month and a half notice to our landlord and went into overdrive to find a new house. We found a duplex that is within a couple blocks of my daughter's apartment. It's a wonderful 3 bedroom home with a fireplace and an entertainment style kitchen/ dining area. Yea! I get to be warm all winter... without $200/ month gas bills. I told James that we were turning one of the bedrooms into a sitting/ sports room. He jumped up and down and yelled 'YEAH'!! He smiled and told me I was getting off to a good start as a wife. I laughed and told him he's spoiled rotten. I wanted to have a room to set up his recliner since there isn't room in the livingroom. At our last house, his recliner was in the basement family room, but we only went down there during tornado warnings. He gets neckaches if he dozes off in the livingroom furniture. Anyway, I also thought it would be great to have a room where I could hang all is baseball caps. He has a good 20 or so of those. And it will be a comfortable sitting room upstairs, across from the master bedroom so I can go in there if it's late and I can't get to sleep. I can read or watch a movie and just be across the hall from James. Then we made the other bedroom into a dressing room for me. That way, he gets the big closet in the M. bedroom, and I get equal space for my clothes in another room along with my dressing table. I can also have the ironing board in there and make it really convenient to iron clothes right before we go out. We love all the space... not that there is any more sq. feet than the last house, it's just a better layout here. And the location is closer to his work and my baby girl. There are a few problems with the home, one thing being a distict cat urine odor coming from the staircase to the upstairs. We're hoping to work them out with the landlord this week or next. I've sprayed the staircase with a special odor destroyer specific to cat urine to hold us over until we get him back here.
My daughter's boyfriend just got out of the hospital on monday. He was in there since friday. For over a week, he had been complaining of a cramp in his left leg. He thought it was some form of charlie horse. He works out, almost daily, and is in top physical condition. Well, thursday (technically friday since it was like 2 in the morning, he went to the hospital because the pain seemed to be getting worse. They discovered a bloodclot, gave him a shot and sent him home with the name of a doctor to follow up with. When he went to see the doctor friday, the doctor immediately told him to go home, pack a bag and get his booty back to the hospital to check in. The doctor felt it was serious enough that they needed to monitor him. He is lucky to be alive. The clot started in his calf. Because he thought it was a cramp, he was working out with it to loosen it up. The clot had moved up to his thigh and got lodged again. If it would have travelled to his heart... well, he would have been through. Lucky guy.
I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year. James and I decided to go to my sister's home this year. I'm glad that Becky and I have finally mended our bridge and can finally enjoy family events together. My mother constantly tells us that she is so happy her daughters are talking to each other. This will be the first big holiday that we're all spending together in almost 2 years. There are a few things to be thankful for. We have all worked hard this year, been thru many trials and had very few rewards. I hope next year brings more blessings and less hardships.

I am really sorry you are feeling this way. I read all the other posts and it bothers me that people make fun of God, says He doesn't exist, say that He doesn't care or doesn't love. The Bible says that God loved the world ( all mankind), that He gave his only Son (Jesus) that whosoever (that's every body) that believes in Him, shall have everlasting life. Jesus is a man of the Bible and a man of proven History. If God does not exist, then Jesus never lived and died, the Bible is a lie, there is no Heaven or Hell and no penalty for anything done in life and, when we die, we are dead like a mashed worm on the sidewalk and there is nothing after death. I'm sorry but, this is the concept of a non-believer, an aethist and an agnostic. I would rather live my life believing what the Bible says then die and find out it wasn't true, rather than live the life I wanted to, with no thought of judgment or eternity, then die and, find out the Bible was all true. Which of these two is the biggest loser? I think you know.
