Journal Entry for November 2, 2009 Mood
Monday, November 2, 2009

This has been a frustrating day and I'm not at all sure why.  I was in a great mood when I woke up and fully expected to enjoy today...that lasted until Winter showed up this morning and I went from happy to snarly in about two minutes flat and it wasn't entirely her fault...although she was doing a real good imitation of someone in the last stages of alzhiemers...

I was trying to explain to her why I don't have high speed wireless on my desktop computer and she kept going back and forth between the laptop and desktop so I'd be answering her about one of them but she'd be thinking I was talking about the other one.  I got so frustrated I told her even her dad was not that freakin dense when it came to understanding the situation.    Sadly that sort of set the tone for the rest of the day...course it didn't help that she needed to borrow my car today (think that was as big a factor as the stupidity over the computer).  There is something wrong with their heater and the last time they drove it there were fumes coming out of the vents that made her sick enough to puke (literaly), Justin had to make a quick run to anchorage with a friend  so he wasn't able to fix it before he left, he was to busy putting new break pads on my car...he is due back wensday and will fix their car then...

The biggy for me is it's the first of the month and I have a ton of stuff to pick up, almost literaly as it's time to get dog food, cat food, hay for the chickens, chips for the litter boxes and of course do a water run, AGAIN, and then all our grocries.  There is no way I can get all that in the car on one trip and before she'd shown up I was trying to figure out how I was going to work this all in wiht the fewest trips to town...

So it is sunny and bright today so I figured I'd come online and that would make me feel better, couldn't get online, had to call the company and they had me unhook stuff for 20 sec. each to let the power bleed out before replugging them into the power...seemed weird but it worked, of course this was not a smooth just call and do it operation...I'd tried several times to get online and even rebooted my computer wiht no success and then the neighbor called about why the c.d.s I'd tried to rip didn't work, he said it was the easiest program to use and I kept running back and forth checking each thing he told me to do, the phone is in another room from where the computer was...so nothing worked there, Winter says she can help me next time she's home and I can get online, she also needs to figure out why she is not picking up the wireless signal with her computer.  So in the middle of all this running back and forth I get a gut wrenching attack of diaherra, let's just say I did not make it to the bathroom in time so had a big mess to clean up and now I feel like I've been gutted.  I do hope this is not the start of something new, like the flu..

Neal can no longer split the firewood so I've been doing that the last few days, we didn't have any birch split and I need it for the cold over nights...last night it got down to 6*F here, it was truely beautiful with the full moon and all that stuff and the birch burns so much hotter then the spruce but when I had him try to split me a peice he got the hatchet stuck and I had to go fix it then do the rest of the wood.

Yesterday Winter said she'd split some for me using the mall but then spaced out and ran out of time before she had to go to work so I ended up splitting enough for a couple of days...

I had this thought if I used the birch I could sleep longer at night, well the dogs have screwed that up for me two nights in a row...for some reason the little rat bastards won't let me sleep more then three hours before Dart raises hell and forces me to get up..then it's back to bed for another three hours before he's at it again...if it weren't so cold I'd leave him outside but then he'd be barking which would set off Winter's dogs so no one would be sleeping.

Well tomorrow is another day, it has to be better doesn't it?

My Wonky often tries to wake me up before it is time. He sits there with his "eeeek, eeeek, eeeek" in his loudest voice until I finally tell him to shut the heck up.

    So far, that's worked.

You really have to figure out a way to get Dart to let you sleep. There must be a way!

I'm glad you have the new computer and you should get all the bugs worked out soon.

    Hugs
