We continue to have great weather, just put up a pix of our outside thermometor showing nearly 100*F yesterday afternoon around 6 pm. Of course I could stand for it to be not quite that hot. I've only been outside to work once today, spent abit over an hour weeding the front bed and that was enough with temps currently at 78*. I hope/plan to get back out again later in the day, when it cools down some, and do some more mowing. Yesterday I did about an hour and a half and that about did me in as hot as it was, will be smarter today and wait til it cools some.
The bar-b-que was wonderful, there are few things I like more then bar-b-qued ribs dripping wiht sauce (and one of the things I try never to eat in front of people because they bring out my feral instincts:>)). I thought we'd have more left over for today, silly me, so today I'm going to add those two longly ribs to my other almost most favorite thing to eat, TACOS
. Oh yes, tacos, ribs and beer just what the doctor ordered for a hot summer day and we have yet to get into that watermelon. We ate to much yesterday to even think about tapping it but it's been calling to me all afternoon. Ah well, need to get on with things, will be time to do food again soon. Breakfast was fun, amaretto french toast with butter pecan syrup, yummmm, had to go out to weed to help work off some of those calories. I do try to keep these things in balance but have yet to find a chart that says one bottle of beer or one rack of ribs equals X amount of time pushing the lawn mower. They always give those stupid things like how often you have to walk up and down the stairs. By looking at them you'd think I'd be like a skeleton because of all the trips I make each day (and often night).

now I feel like a breakfast like that - and I'm just going to bed!!!! hugggs CATXX

YUMMY BREAKFAST. I WOULD LOVE THE RECIPE FOR BUTTER PECAN SYRUP...PLEASE!!! I AM A LITTLE SPOILED WITH MY SYRUP AS I CAN GET ALL THE PURE MAPLE SYRUP, CANDIES, BUTTER AND CREME THAT I WANT...FREE!! I USE IT A LOT IN MY COOKING. I LOVE CARROTS DRAINED, A LITTLE BUTTER AND THEN MAPLE SYRUP. I ALSO DO THIS TO MY MASHED TURNIP.
AS FAR AS LISTING MY FAVORITE FOODS....WELL...THAT WOULD BE ONE LONG LIST. BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE IT WOULD BE ALMOST ANYTHING WITH CHOCOLATE!!! " ONCE ON THE LIPS, FOREVER ON THE HIPS."
YOU CAN CERTAINLY SEND SOME OF THAT NICE WEATHER OUR WAY. WE HAVE BEEN ALMOST STEADY RAINY DAYS FOR OVER 2 WEEKS. THE POTTED PLANTS HAVE HAD ENOUGH. I THINK I AM LOOSING MY BEAUTIFUL STRAW PLANT DUE TO ROOT ROT!!! SHIT!! SORRY BUT THEY ARE SO EXPENNSIVE TO REPLACE.
I LOVE THE FACT YOU PUT UP A PIC OF YOURSELF. IT IS FINALLY NICE TO PUT A FACE WITH A NAME.
OH, AND IF YOU WANT A GREAT SITE THAT TELLS YOU CALORIES AND WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO BURN THEM OFF AND THEY INCLUDE QUITE A GOOD VARIETY GO TO ..WWW,CALORIEKING.COM NOW YOU MAY HAVE TO ADD /FOOD/ AT THE END TO GET TO THE PAGE. CHECK IT OUT!!
ANYWAY, GOTTA GET ANSWERING OTHER JOURNALS. BE WELL. ENJOY YOUR WEATHER.

Holy Moly! it's not even that hot down here! We had 59 this morning when I got up, course now it's 10:15 and is upper 70s but we've been having low temps for this time of year! That's OK with me though.......70s are nice! I'm with you, I LOVE ribs!! but it's hard to get good ribs in a restaurant and my hubby doesn't care for them, so I don't get to eat GOOD ones!!

To hot for sure,,, We have had a cool down, but its to be back up in the triple digits before the week is done,, You stay cool, and don't over do it outside, it doesn't take long in that kind of heat, Ribs and beer sounds yummy to me, You do enough work I'm sure you don't have to worry about your calorie intake, Keep cool , and we will talk soon,,, hugs and prayers,,, love...S
