Psychosomatic?  I'm beginning to wonder if how I feel isn't more in my mind then anything else (well of course it is but that's a whole nothter discussion).  As long as we had sun and I could get out and work I was feeling better then I had in ages, can't actualy remember when I felt so good, at least physicaly but this morning I woke (at 10:30) to clouds and have just been dragging my butt all day.  The weather forecast was for clouds over night and early morning then it was supposed to clear up and get into the 70*'s again with that pattern repeating through the 4th of July, sounded pretty damn good to me, BUT.  I wake up this morning and my head is stuffed, I'm tired and achy, got a bit of a caugh again and all that junk I was messing around with for so long.

Inspite of not having as much energy I did get the freezer cleaned out, the dishes are done and I moved some plants around in my front flower bed.  Don't know what it is with me but I rarely get plants in the right place when I plant them.  I almost always end up moving them somewhere else after a year or two of looking at them and not being satisfied with where they are and how they balance out the rest of the garden.  I had thought I'd be doing some weed eating today, and maybe get the last of the strawberries moved to their new home.  Don't think so, looks more like a nice nap, hot dinner and maybe a movie or two.  

Even the cats are not enjoying the weather today.  Since it's been sunny and we've kept the window behind Neals chair open a bit for them to run in and out they have been spending most of the day and night outside playing or sun bathing on the deck but today every surface is covered in cat and Dozer is laying wiht them snoring.  My bad boys are outside, two on their cables and one (Demon) out running loose, he escaped when I opened the kitchen slidder to toss something out and now he won't come to me.  

 Well we are almost to the 4th of July and I imagine most are busy getting ready to celebrate with family and friends.  Tomorrow I'll be shopping til I drop (doing all that first of the month feed for the animals and us thing I do), sure hope they ahve some good sales on stuff for the grill and would really love to grab a couple of nice watermelons.  In case I don't make it back this way before I want to wish everyone a Happy and Safe 4th and while your enjoying your activities I hope you all give some thought to what this holiday is about.  I got this from a friend today and wanted to share it with everyone.

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence ?

Five signers were captured by the British as traitors,and tortured before they died.

Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.

Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.

Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.

They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

What kind of men were they?

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated, but they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.

Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy.  He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.

Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British
that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.

Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer,
Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.

At the battle of Yorktown , Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters.  He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed,
and Nelson died bankrupt.

Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.

John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished.

So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently thank these patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they paid.

Remember: freedom is never free!

I hope you will show your support by sending this to as many people as you can, please. It's time we get the word out that patriotism is NOT a sin, and the Fourth of July has more to it than beer, picnics, and baseball games.

    I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT FEELING BETTER IN THE SUNSHINE. WE HAVE HAD ABOUT 2 WEEKS OF RAIN/CLOUD AND I AM ALMOST OUT OF MY MIND. I ALSO HAVE A GENERAL FEELING OF BEING "UNWELL". I SURE HOPE MR. SUN MAKES AN APPEARANCE TODAY.
