I'm a single Mom and have one daughter who is 20. I joined this community searching for help and understanding. My daughter have self injured for 9 years. She had abstained for almost a year but has started cutting again. I know I can never totally "get" what she is going through but I love her and hope to at least be there for her to help any way I can.

Close Self-Injury
I am a concerned Mom. I started using this site because my daughter has self injured for over 11 years. She is now 23 years old and has been clean for a year now. I found the help & friendship I needed while I was helping her during this difficult time. Things are still not perfect but she is strong.
