About Me
I am a retired Mom of Tony, age 28, adopted. We live on the Ms Gulf Coast. Tony has a DX of Asperger Syndrome. Tony is doing O.K. He lives alone, has decided not to learn to drive for fear of going into road rage. Is worried because he is having recurrent night mares to where his anger over comes him and he murders someone. This worries me also. Pray for us.

Treatments
- Behavior Management Working / Worked
- I rewarded good behavior. Kept a chart. Reward when more stars for good behavior exceed bad.
- Independent Living Skills Working / Worked
- Taught min. cooking skills and laundry etc early. Now lives alone and keeps in touch via E-mail & phone
- Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
- Tony competed in swim.& Karate Swim helped the most as he enjoyed that.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Has someone he can talk to /confide in and receive advice /guidance other than parents.
Close Asperger Syndrome
My Adopted Son Tony is DX'ed with Asperger Syndrome. He now has two years of college and is doing well. Can I help? MJ
Treatments
- Zyprexa Working / Worked
- Tony had many meltdowns. Had to b Resisted change. If the school bus changed route, there was bedlam. In meltdowns Tony could be violent.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Therapist works once monthly with Tony. Wonderful results, but did not happen quickly. MJ
Open Anxiety
My son told me today that he thinks he is bi-polar as well as having Asperger Syndrome. He also has panic attacks. Can I join? MG
