I think I would have been about 10 or 11 when I first did it, I remember the day very well. I thought harming myself was the perfect way to let out my emotions because I wasn't hurting anyone and I wasn't damaging myself with Drugs or Alcohol, I even told a lot of people and I was rather proud that I was controlling my emotions. But basically I wasn't controlling my head. [y]
