  I can relate to that. My X left me after three and a half years to work on himself.....ya he found a new girlfriend......few months later he came back wanting to get back together....after a bit we did and he promised and even bought a very expensive engagement ring engraved with "my one and only" and the wedding band was going to say "now and forever". He promised he would stay no matter what. But I realize now he just is not emotionally available at all. Everything was about sex and I think he may be a sex addict. It still hurts. It has only been not quite 4 months since he left again. He left in the middle of the night and I woke up to find a note. I is awful how much we can still love them and hurt so much.

  HUGE HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I just saw your post from today!!! I'm so sorry!!!! I don't read the main boards that much.....there is sometimes too much fighting going on. I'm sorry you cut your arm, but I truly understand. I had the knife out last week making marks on my leg, but didn't draw blood. I'm so sorry for how much you hurting. I understand the pain.   I saw your post from yesterday and wanted to send you a hug! You are not alone in your pain. My X dumped me for a second time. We were together just over a total of seven years. He said he couldn't take my "depression and disorders" anymore. I feel so alone and betrayed. He told me when we got back together that he'd stay no matter what. HUGSSSSSSSS I understand how you feel
