Human Resources professional who married highschool sweetheart and moved 3,000 miles away to be with him. Now he wants to end marriage saying I hurt him by being little miss can't be wrong. He's closed off all emotions to me, and isn't cooperating with marital counseling. Counselor suggested I seek help to avoid depression. I'm spiritual but not religious, passionate about music, people, friendships, making people happy. I'm Martha Stewart & Donna Reed with fun/wild/party girl mixed in.

Close Breakups & Divorce
Need someone to talk to to help me through this "limbo" that may end in reconciliation or divorce.
Treatments
- Couples Counseling Somewhat Helpful
- Husband says he's willing and participates IN the counselors office, but once we leave, he flat out refuses to do what the counselor suggests and recommends. Says our troubles are all my fault, but can't articulate WHAT I need to do/change in order for him to be happy.
- Forgiveness Somewhat Helpful
- We each say there's nothing unforgiveable that we've done to each other.
- Leave Not Working
- He left and it's making me anxious, scared, VERY needy (I've never been a needy person), and I just want to chase/follow him, and get him to stay with me.
- Love Working / Worked
- We both agree that we do love each other. He, however, says he doesn't like who he is when he's with me, and doesn't want to be married to me.
- Music Somewhat Helpful
- sometimes it's helpful, but the right/wrong song with sad lyrics will set me off crying.
- Pets Working / Worked
- Problem part now is that the dog lives with me, but she's sort of more "his" dog. She misses him, and she reminds me constantly that he's gone -- but at the same time she's a comfort to me.
- Reading Too Soon to Tell
- Can't focus much, but have tons of books to start reading -- Chicken Soup for the Couple's Soul, Mike Dooley works, etc.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- It's the most helpful thing I've got -- tons of WONDERFUL friends.
- Talking Working / Worked
- It's working for ME working with my friends and family, but HE won't participate. He says it always ends up the same, and even just a discussion he perceives as a vicious argument.
- Time Not Working
- I'm too impatient and desperate to have him back. I chase, and he runs/hides in his cave and gets meaner and meaner, saying he doesn't want to be married to me.
