Open Brain Injury

I had a MVA in 1992,at first I didn`t know what was wrong with me. I couldn`t remember what had happened to me except that I had rolled the company pick-up that I as driving.The doctors just sent me home after 27 day`s in the hospital.I kept having memory problems and headaches along with other physical problems.

Open Chronic Pain

Consistent pain in my back due to 5 compression fractures,5 bulging disc`s,Syringomeylia syrnix at C3-C5,T5-6,L1-3.

Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working

The treatments didn`t relieve any pain and the roller table hurt so bad at time I couldn`t lay on it for full 15min.

It only worked for a day or two,not enough relief to justify getting more than the 5 shot`s with that big of a needle.

The cause of my migraine`s is a TBI the result of a MVA,I still get them regularly but not as many as before,now there down to about 3-4 a month instead of 3-4 a week.

It seem`s to be the only thing that works,I have to do the injection though,the pill just dosen`t do anything for me.I hate to give myself the shot.

Open Tinnitus

My wife say`s that I`m deaf but I can hear,the sound in my ear`s is kind of like a hearing test all the time,the high frequancy pitch they have you listen for with a little ocean in the background.

The ACL/MCL was damaged at work and didn`t really think it was that bad until I couldn`t walk on it ,without falling.The wrist injured at Karate class breaking brick`s.

Open Accidents

I had a MVA in 1992 in which the vehicle I was driving rolled throwing me out at 60m.p.h.,had another MVA in 1995 when hit from the rear by a driver going to fast for road conditions.

Open GERD & Heartburn

I kept having acid on my stomach & heartburn,couldn`t sleep lying flat.Had the doc. run a bunch of test after 3scopes thru the rear and 1 down the throat they found I have a hieatal hernia,scarring in the esaphagus.

Aciphex Working / Worked

didn`t even cut the heartburn a little.

Nexium Working / Worked

This seems to be the only thing that helps.

Prevacid Not Working

Did not work,doc thought that I should try it because we don`t have ins.[said it`s cheaper].

Prilosec Not Working

Dosen`t work,it cut the heartburn a little but the acid was still causing problems.

Open Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Have had this problem since I was in High School,did not know if it was cancer or what.Not one of the doc`s that I saw had a clue until I went to a Doc.in Colorado.He said that I should do these test for him.What do you know it is IBS.

After all these years I got better by taking this daily.

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Not Working

It didn`t matter what I ate or didn`t eat.The problem just kept me down all the time.

Chamomile Somewhat Helpful

Chamomile tea worked to settle my stomach some of the time.

Open Hypothyroidism

When I was in High School,ran a fever of 1oo + for a week and my hair fell out,doc said it was thyriod.Got some pills and years later found out that I have hypothyroid,not producing enough.

Started out at 0.1mg now am up to 0.5mg

Open TMJ

Had a MVA in 1992 as a result of landing on my face outside the pick-up I was diagnosed with TMJ among other things.It still bothers me and sometimes my jaw will lock in place and it is very painful and one of my doctors said that it can cause some of the migraine`s that I get.

This was the only treatment that Work comp doc advised me to use.Dosen`t do much except keeps me from grinding my teeth at night.

Open Bell's Palsy

I was diagnosed in 1978 when I had a fracture over the 7th nerve,to this day I have problems from BP,such as dry eye,pain in area affected,lazy eye.

The prednisone didn`t do anything except give me a moon face.

Since Iwas diagnosed with Syringomyelia I have put on 70lbs and I haven`t been able to exercise the way I used to because of the pain in my spine,I just thought that if I get feed-back from some of you here that it might help for me to keep going on some kind of exercise program.

I am a 3rd degree black belt and had to stop because of the SM caused weakness and pain.The exercise helped in keeping the weight off.

Open Dry Eyes

I have had a dry eye just on one eye.I was told by my doc to have plugs put in but they don`t stay in for more than 2-3 weeks.I have tried the ointment in the eye with a patch at night.But then I get real bad gunk in my eye and they have told me it is not an infection.So I just thought that maybe this community could maybe help me to find out what is wrong.

Open Diverticulitis

I was diagnosed in 1998 with Diverticulitis and IBS.I know that they found it when I had a lower gi test done and to me some of the prep for that test caused major problems.They didn`t put me on any med`s but did tell me not to eat certain food`s and stay away from nut`s.

Open Degenerative Disc Disease

I should have joined this community a LONG time ago but could not concentrate long enough to remember to find it.I have DDD because of the compression fractures that I had in 1992 and it has progressed to this and many more problems.It is so confusing when you talk to different doctors about it because they have different ways of determining what is DDD and what is not.

I have had 3 knee surgeries on the same knee,and surgery on the right wrist and foot and the strange thing is they are all on the same side of my body.

I have hearing loss and tinnitus.Qlong with all of my other problems,but this one is making it hard for me and my wife to communicat and she is getting upset more and more about it.

Open Cataracts

Last year I went to see my optomologist and she tole me that I had a small cataract in both eyes.This year I went back for my anual and she informed me that the one in my left had grown a lot and that she wants to wait until the one in my right eye gets to where it needs to be removed.Doing both eyes at the same time,that way I will have better eye sight in both eyes.I just thought that I coukldn`t see because I haver a tearing problem in my left eye.Guess that is why you have check ups yearly.
