Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
Dx 12/2006. Still trying to get stabilized. Multiple med changes due to multiple reactions.
Treatments
- Asacol Not Working
- Caused constipation, then blockage.
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- Worked good for me. But liver enzymes went through the roof after 3 months so had to stop Imursn.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Started 40mg daily on 12/24/06. Have got down to 17.5mg daily, but can't go any lower. Everytime we titrate down, I have a flare up. Also on Steroid enemas now x 6wks.
- Azulfidine Working / Worked
- I get nauseated after every dose, but am tolerating this better than the other meds I had reaction to.
- Asacol Not Working
- Pentasa by mouth and Rowasa enemas were started at same time. Was allergic; had severe reactions that put me into full blown exacerbation that involved my joints & skin.
