I am officially divorced with 2 little boys. I have full physical custody of the boys. My father recently passed and we miss him dearly. I am type 2 diabetic since 2000. Initially I lost a lot of weight and gained it all back after I had my boys. I am working on changing my eating habits and am joining a health club.

I love the out doors, camping & fishing, spending time with family (family is very important to me), and relaxing at home during the long winter months.love the great outdoors in Alaska! Camping, fishing, going for a long drive and spending time with my boys are my favorites.

You hang in there. Take one day and at a time. Do your best and I here for you. Don't be too hard on yourself but try and do a little each day to cut your carbs and regulate your sugar. Taking control slowly sometime is best for you and your body. Sending a smile. Sunset22
Hi, I know it is hard to stay on a low carb diet. Everyone's body is different therefore some carbs effect you differently than it would me. Try eating different kinds of carbs, wait 2 hours, then test to see where your sugar is. Try this for awhile then you will get an idea of how and what carbs effect your blood sugar. Took me awhile to discover what I could get away with eating and how much of a certain food I could eat and still maintain my sugar. It is a trial and error system for awhile. Now I know how much of certain foods I can eat without my sugar going sky high. Once you get regulated it also helps the hunger pains. Hang in there it is a roller coaster ride some days but I am here if you need me. Sunset22
hi kid!!! you are in denial!!! you eat carbs as if sayingto t2d " come on!! do ur worst" I promise you it (diabetes) will you should read my journal entry 0f 9/7/07 for some ideas. I am officaly divorced with 2 little boys. I have full physicial custody and am trying to have routine in our daily life so that my boys will get used to our new living situation with out dad. They do get to have an over night visit, and that will increase to 2 nights when my youngest turns 2. So far, it's working ok for the boys and I. I initially had a very hard time, but I am learning to let go and not worry as much as I used to.
I am officially divorced with 2 little boys. We have adjusted well and are getting into a routine. I still hurt that I no longer have "a family", but my boys mean the world to me and I do my best to make ends meet and keep a routine so that my boys will live a normal life as much as possible.
I am type 2 Diabetic since 2000. I initially lost a lot of weight, but I have since gone back to my bad eating habits, not checking my blood sugar level anymore, and back to my original weight of 210 lbs! I don't have any energy, feel frustrated, and no hope. I have 2 little boys and am worried that they too will end up diabetic.

I am type 2 diabetic. I LOVE food with CARBS! If I lower the carb intake, my sugars go low and I end up eating sugars and food high in carbs to feed the low sugar, which does not help at all. I have 2 little boys and want to learn how to eat healthy not only for me, but for them as well. I have a lot to learn.
I've now had 5 spells of vertigo. Not a fun feeling! Just want to hear what others have to say about their experience and what they are doing about it.
