Just lost my husband to cancer in May - looking for a support group on the east side of Columbus, Ohio. I have one son in LA and a daughter in St. Louis - I work full time but having a really hard time - we were married almost 20 years and I miss him so much

For almost 20 years I lived with my soul mate and raised a wonderful son and was a step mom
to his daughter. Then colon cancer raised its ugy …
Hi, you are taking a step in a right direction. Keep the faith!
i know i dont know you but i hope that things get better for you because i know what you are going through. it can be lonely but sometimes you have to put yourself out there.
I received your hug. Where was the picture taken of your husband? It seems beautiful. Pictures are a source of happiness and sadness. When I get home from work, the first thing I do is look at a picture of John taken about a year before he died. He hated it because he was bloated due to the Prenisone and had the oxygen canular on; but it is how I remember him and it brings me a source of happiness. Judy
I am so sorry you are going through this pain. I know exactly how you feel. I lost my soul mate, the love of my life on 8/6/09 after battling a lung disease for eight years and critically for 18 months. Some days you don't even want to lift your head from the pillow. People keep telling me it gets better so I just take it one day at a time. As you found, there are no grief groups in my area which also makes it even harder. My God comfort you in your grief. Judy
