I see you were just dx, (diagnosed). I would think a next step, is to get a referral to a gastro dr, and they will redo your labs, and you will find out your Viral load and your geno type. Then you can go from there.

I have been donating blood fairly regularly for the last 15 years. Summer of 2009 tests on my donation came back with a positive on HCV. I don't have any tattoos, have never taken anything intravenously not given by my doctor, have never had a blood transfusion, and have not had multiple partners. I am currently staggering under this, since I just got the conclusive results from my own doctor two days ago. Now I am spending a great deal of time doing my research to find out my options.
