      I was diagnosed in 5/07. Liver, stage 1. Genotype 1b which dictates a 48 week treatment course. I began Ribavirin/Interferon treatment on 8/28/09. Viral load just prior to tx: 8, 140, 000 (yikes!). Blood work is stable, liver enzymes within normal range. Med regimine: Ribavirin 600mg 2x/day & Peg-Interferon 180mcg SC injection 1x/wk...full steam ahead. This is both physically and mentally exhausting.
