I am hoping to get ideas for my treatment of asthma. I had asthma back in the nineties and with the help of Advair it seemed to become a thing of the past and I was free of it up until just a month or so ago. What brought it back I do not know. I saw a pulmonologist a month ago and got an Rx for Advair but I can't afford 200 a month so I got Asmanex from the VA. I don't feel like anything is coming out of it when I inhale from the Asmanex. I will have to wait and see if it is working.

Advair Working / Worked

Years ago Advair worked wonders for me but recently it doesn't seem to do much for me. I am using the 100/50 and get it from my wife. The pulmo doc gave me Rx fpr 250/50 but I cannot afford it.

Albuterol Working / Worked

I have a hand inhaler and also a supply of Albuterol I use in a sidestream nebulizer. I am wondering how long I can keep using that before it loses its effects. I have no side effects from it.

Asmanex Working / Worked

I am getting this from the VA but nothing seems to come out of it when I suck on the nozzle. Maybe it is just a tiny amount and in fine powder but I need to find out if anything is coming out when I inhale.

Inhaler Working / Worked

I assume you mean the Albuterol rescue inhaler. Yes it does work but the nebulized Albuterol seems to have a better effect.

Theophylline Working / Worked

I stopped using this med back in the nineties as it did not seem to do anything for me.
