Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
About 2 weeks ago I found out I had a Blood Clot in my left calf. A week later I was in the ER with mild shortness of breath and some chest pain and found out I had a small blood clot in my lung. I'm just in need of some support and advice from people who have been through this or going through this and to know I'm not alone!
Treatments
- Coumadin Too Soon to Tell
- It's only been 2 weeks and my levels are high 4.3 was my last reading. I'm getting checking weekly. I'm exhausted all the time but I have not had any cuts or any bleeding as of yet.
Close Pulmonary Embolism
They found a blood clot in my left calf and about a week later I was in the ER with mild shortness of breath and mild chest pain when they found a small clot in my lung. They were not sure exactly when the clot formed in my lung and it could have been before or after I started on Warfarin.
Treatments
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- I was never given Heparin or Lovenox because when they found the one in my lung I had already been taking Warfarin for a week.
