Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionIncreasing depression over the past three years. I have tried TCAs, SSRIs, and SNRIs. None have worked so far. I know what I need.
Treatments
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Cymbalta Too Soon to Tell
- Nothing as of yet,
- Effexor Not Working
- Only makes me feel cold and shiver. No mood boosting effects. Worse than a placebo.
- Elavil Considering
- Lexapro Not Working
- Same as Prozac. A placebo at best.
- Meditation Somewhat Helpful
- I HAVE to meditate to keep my head on straight. Wish my brain time could go to school rather than trying to constantly keep myself going over the edge.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- Instances of low dose oxycodone have significantly improved my depression and other symptoms.
- Prozac Not Working
- Placebo at best.
- Psychotherapy Not Working
- Therapists only tell me ideas that I already have learned about reading on my own. I know in my heart that my depression is mostly due to pain.
- Seroquel Not Working
- If you want to be a psych med zombie, be my guest. This is great for sucking any humanity/energy/will that you may have left.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- My family is great!
- Trazodone Not Working
- Useless.
- Writing Working / Worked
- DS saved my partial sanity.

- Excellent medication. Instant relief from .5mg. Three times daily or as needed has been my anxiety/panic attack rescue.

- Slowly increasing doses to find where the medicine will work best. I am sensitive to the sulfer like compounds that are found in Vyvanse so my doctor opted for Adderall XR. I simply could not focus in class anymore and this is letting me return to my "A" class ability.
Open Heroin Addiction & Recovery
Moving on from my mistakes. I am not "diseased" like NA/HA wants so many of us to believe.

- Did not work.
- Suboxone Working / Worked
- Suboxone tapper to help withdrawals. Once they stop then all it takes is wanting to live a normal life again. Simple.
- Subutex Working / Worked
- Same as suboxone.
Open Chronic Pain
Increasing pain is becoming intolerable. Doctors prescribe useless muscle relaxants. Self-medication via opiates in past provides relief.

- Sure relief if I can purchase from streets. Doctors unwilling to prescribe because of past self medication "issues" and "irritability." I am suffering more and more each day. A twenty year old should not be plagued with ANY pain.
