I realized that I'm actually a person that has a problem with depression..... along with my anorexia.
Treatments
- Effexor Working / Worked
- My dosage has be inreased, and the times have been changed, so I think the new regiment is going to work better. The only side effects I've had are severe withdrawal if I forget a dosage.
- Positive Thinking Somewhat Helpful
- Sometimes it can change my mood directly, but than other times I can't even get close to anything positive or happy.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I have changed therapists within the last six months, and she's extremely helpful, and her approach is loving and safe.
- Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful
- My husband is extremely supportive, and I have several friends that support me, but with the depression and anorexia I withdraw myself.
- Ativan Working / Worked
- This helps with the anxiety in regards to eating or the anxietyfear of the household.
Close Eating Disorders
Type: AnorexiaI've had anorexia since I was a teenager, but didn't come to terms with it until 3 years ago when I ended up in a clinic. One month ago I had severe depression and was eating just enough to keep me from fainting, but then I started to cut myself and couldn't stop so I admitted myself into the local mental clinic.
Treatments
- Dietitian Consult Working / Worked
- I have the most miracelus nutritionist. She is my doctor,therapist, and best friend at the same time.
- Group Therapy Not Working
- The group session didn't have any safe limitations set-up, so I was constantly being triggered.
- Outpatient Treatment Program Working / Worked
- After I was released from the inpatient ward, I was able to go to out-patient for 5 days, and I learned more, and gained some inner strength while being supoorted by the team and patients.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I have the same therapist for my eating disorder as my depression, but we don't really concentrate on my ED as much as the triggers.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- This is working better now. We have increase the dosage and changed the time shedule.
