I tried something new today. When I began to feel stressed, I immediately pulled out my pen and paper and started writing a to do list. I also checked my to do list from yesterday. comparing the two, I was able to prioritize and get a few things done while the baby slept. When the temptation to overeat at breakfast came, I thought before I ate. "I'm tired because the baby didn't sleep. I'm not hungry. I don't need to eat right now." That was a HUGE step in a positive direction for me!
I'm going to keep going with journaling and making lists. I hope that sways me from overeating.
