so sorry you are suffering with this lousy stuff. but there are a lot of awesome people here to support you.
i had this couldn't lay down issue when i first got diagnosesed also so i would prop myself up with some pillows on our couch and made a little lean to so i could rest sort of reclined but not lay down. i had to hold my head a certain way too. sounds like you are on some good meds. it takes time for these to get into your system and make a difference. if they are not working after 2-4 wks i would be calling your dr and asking for something else. it winds up everyone has their own little "cocktail" that will work for them. tegretol works best for me but i can't tolerate a lot of it. i opted for surgery after two yrs. when i went through a lot of meds and nothing calmed it down. mine is atypical so a little different to treat.
you also have to watch what triggers it, cold air, talking, laughing, chewing, etc. i finally started to listen to what my body was telling me and figured out a huge trigger of pain was when i went outside and squinted. the pain around my eye was miserable. so i wear sunglasses and try not to frown or cry.
just do one day at a time. keep in touch
blessings for pain free days for you
