      I teach college, and in my spare time I draw and love most of the little things in life. I've recently discovered church and enjoy being part of a community - a family - of faith. I often feel very alone in the world... until I remember that I have so much love to give and am surrounded by love in the trees, smiles, hugs, and dogs around me.

      I was sexually abused by my current stepfather from when I was little until I was about 16. I suspect that my first stepfather was also abusive, but I'm not sure.

      Outpatient therapy and writing to a friend have been *very* helpful to me.

    • Close Eating Disorders
      Type: Bulimia

      I am currently fighting bulimia, after over a decade of anorexia. I was hospitalized for the anorexia as a teen, which helped me eat "better" but didn't address the underlying traumas.

    • Open Alcoholism

      i am in a relatively good place with alcohol now. It is a somewhat recurring battle...
